Aalto PS, 2004. D.O. Ribera del Duero, Castile and León, Spain. Red wine. 6 bottles, 75 cl each. With its original wooden box. Opened for inspection. Condition: Fill levels IN (Into Neck). Original capsules intact, in good overall condition. Original labels complete and legible, with minor marks and slight wear on some edges. Back labels and Ribera del Duero D.O. seals are present and in good condition. Comes with the original wooden case. These bottles come from a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Aalto PS, short for Pagos Seleccionados, is the most exclusive expression of Bodegas Aalto, a project founded in 1999 by Mariano García and Javier Zaccagnini. Made exclusively from Tempranillo grapes—also known in the region as Tinto Fino—it comes from a selection of old vineyards located in various municipalities of the Ribera del Duero. The 2004 vintage stands out for its concentration, depth, and balance, with a profile of ripe black fruit, spices, licorice, and mineral notes, accompanied by toasty nuances from its aging in oak. Its limited production and renowned aging potential make it one of the appellation’s benchmark red wines. The presentation in an original wooden box of six bottles adds an extra appeal for collectors.
