It comes from a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Alión is one of the most renowned wines of the Ribera del Duero and one of the Vega Sicilia group’s flagship projects. Founded to develop a distinctive interpretation of the Tinto Fino grape variety, the winery combines the richness of Castilian vineyards with precise winemaking and oak aging that imparts structure and complexity. The 2000 vintage offers the character of a wine with a long aging potential, featuring a profile of ripe black fruit, spices, leather, tobacco, and delicate balsamic and toasty notes. Aging has fostered the development of tertiary nuances and a more integrated texture, while maintaining the firm and elegant personality of the great reds of Ribera del Duero.
