Alión, 2004. D.O. Ribera del Duero, Valladolid, Castile and León, Spain. Red wine. 6 bottles of 75 cl. In its original box. Opened for inspection. Condition: All six bottles are filled to the neck (IN). Original maroon-colored capsules, intact, with the name “Alión” and the 2004 vintage embossed on the top. Original main labels, intact and legible. Producer’s back labels and official Ribera del Duero D.O. guarantee seals preserved. Bottles identified with the numbers 242708, 242709, 242710, 242711, 242712, and 242713. Original wooden case bearing the Alión label and the 2004 vintage. It comes from a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Alión is one of the leading wines of the Ribera del Duero and represents the Vega Sicilia group’s unique interpretation of the Tinto Fino grape variety. Created with the aim of expressing a more modern and direct style than that of its historic parent winery, the estate combines a careful selection of grapes with aging in oak barrels, which imparts complexity and structure. The 2004 vintage, a particularly highly regarded year in the appellation, stands out for its concentration, ripeness, and balance. Its profile features notes of black fruit, plum, sweet spices, cocoa, tobacco, and balsamic hints, accompanied by structured tannins and a persistent finish. This set of six bottles from the same vintage, preserved in its original wooden case, presents an attractive opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts of great age-worthy red wines from Ribera del Duero.
