Pesquera Janus Gran Reserva, 1995. D.O. Ribera del Duero, Castile and León, Spain. Red wine. Gran Reserva. 2 bottles of 75 cl. Condition: Fill levels BN (Base Neck). Original capsules intact, with slight signs of aging. Original labels complete and legible, one of which has superficial moisture stains and slight signs of aging. Back labels and appellation of origin seals are present and intact. They come from a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Pesquera Janus Gran Reserva is one of the most iconic wines from Bodegas Alejandro Fernández, founded in Pesquera de Duero and considered one of the leading forces behind the Ribera del Duero’s international prestige. Made from Tempranillo, also known in the region as Tinto Fino, Janus represents an exceptional selection from the winery, produced only in outstanding vintages and intended for extended aging. The 1995 vintage offers a classic expression of the appellation’s great reds, characterized by its structure, concentration, and aromatic complexity, with notes of ripe fruit, leather, tobacco, spices, and fine oak. Its Gran Reserva status, selective production, and historical legacy make these bottles particularly attractive to collectors of Spanish wines.
