Pingus, 1996. Ribera del Duero D.O. 1 75 cl bottle. Rating: 96/100 Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate. Condition: Level: IN (Into Neck). Front label complete and legible, with small scattered stains and slight scuffs. Back label from the Regulatory Council with stains, scuffs, and a loss of paper in the lower central area. Silver capsule intact with wrinkles, creases, and slight scuffs. From a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Pingus was born from the personal project of Danish winemaker Peter Sisseck, who found in the old vineyards of the Ribera del Duero the starting point for developing a wine with its own identity. Following its first vintage in 1995, this 1996 vintage belongs to the winery’s formative period and offers a glimpse into the early years of a journey focused on expressing the character of Tempranillo and the vineyard.
