Vega Sicilia Único Reserva Especial, 2005 edition, non-vintage. A blend of the 1985, 1991, and 1996 vintages, according to the labels. Ribera del Duero D.O. Gran Reserva. Red wine. 3 bottles of 75 cl. Comes with a wooden case from the winery marked “Reserva Especial.” Opened for inspection. Condition: IN (Into Neck). Front labels show extensive stains, darkening, surface deposits, and scuffs, with variations among individual bottles. Regulatory Council back labels are legible, with stains and surface wear. Bordeaux-style capsules are intact, with slight scuffs. From a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Único Reserva Especial upholds the tradition of blending different Único vintages into a non-vintage wine. This 2005 edition combines wines from 1985, 1991, and 1996; its labels indicate a selection of 54 barrels and a production of 15,876 bottles. The blending of different vintages is the hallmark of this Vega Sicilia wine.
