Vega Sicilia Único Reserva Especial. A blend of the 1989, 1990, and 1994 vintages, according to the labels. Ribera del Duero, Designation of Origin. Gran Reserva. Red wine. 6 bottles of 75 cl. Comes with the winery’s wooden box. Opened for inspection. Condition: consistent with 3 BN (Base Neck) and 3 IN (Into Neck); Front labels show brown stains, mottling, and scuffs of varying intensity; some have minor edge loss. Commercial back labels are stained and scuffed. The Regulatory Council labels show uneven deterioration, with paper loss on several bottles affecting text and numbering. Burgundy-colored capsules are intact, with slight scuffing. It comes from a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Único Reserva Especial revives the Spanish tradition of producing a wine without a single vintage, blending different vintages of Único to combine their qualities. According to its labels, this blend combines wines from 1989, 1990, and 1994—an expression of the selection and blending process that defines this Vega Sicilia production.
