Château Beychevelle, 1967. A.O.C. Saint-Julien, Bordeaux, France. Quatrième Grand Cru Classé, 1855 classification. Red wine. 1 bottle, 75 cl. Condition: The bottle has an HS (High Shoulder) fill level. Original red capsule, intact, featuring the Château Beychevelle ship emblem and the bottling inscriptions from the château. It shows surface oxidation, accumulation of deposits, scuffs, and partial loss of print intensity, with no obvious tears. Original main label, fully legible and well-adhered, with generalized darkening of the paper, moisture stains, and signs of aging. It comes from a private collection cellar, maintained under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Château Beychevelle is one of the historic crus classés of Saint-Julien, located on the left bank of the Gironde estuary. Its vineyards, situated primarily on Médoc gravel, are well-suited to the cultivation of Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot and other Bordeaux varieties. The estate’s traditional style is characterized by its balance between structure, elegance, and aromatic expression. The 1967 vintage was marked by uneven ripening across Bordeaux; therefore, in a bottle of this age, the wine’s evolution and individual storage conditions are decisive factors.
