Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru, 2001. A.O.C. Chambertin-Clos de Bèze, Gevrey-Chambertin, Côte de Nuits, Burgundy, France. Red wine. 1 bottle, 75 cl. Condition: Liquid level 1.5 cm below the neck. Original black capsule, intact, with the winery’s red identification band and a French tax seal on the top. Original main label, intact and perfectly legible, with small moisture stains and slight dirt marks, especially in the upper area. Vintage label located on the shoulder of the bottle, intact and legible. Overall in good presentation condition. It comes from a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Chambertin-Clos de Bèze is one of the historic grands crus of Gevrey-Chambertin, renowned for the depth and longevity of its Pinot Noirs. Its calcareous and marly soils, on an east-facing slope, produce wines of remarkable structure, complexity, and precision. Domaine Thomas-Moillard, a historic estate in Nuits-Saint-Georges, produced this 2001 vintage, a Burgundian vintage prized for its balance and aromatic definition. As it ages in the bottle, it can reveal nuances of ripe cherry, forest floor, spices, truffle, and earthy notes, supported by an elegant structure. A particularly noteworthy selection for collectors of classic grands crus from the Côte de Nuits.
