James Suckling: 96/100. Condition: BN (Base Neck) level on all three bottles. Original maroon capsules, intact, with slight surface marks. Front labels complete and legible, with stains and signs of moisture of varying intensity. The middle bottle has a vertical moisture mark that is particularly visible on the left side of the label. Overall in good condition. From a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Château Lynch-Bages is one of Pauillac’s most renowned historic estates, linked to the Cazes family and classified as a Cinquième Grand Cru Classé in 1855. Its vineyards are situated on gravel soils characteristic of the Médoc, where Cabernet Sauvignon predominates, accompanied by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. The 2000 vintage is one of Bordeaux’s great modern vintages, celebrated for the excellent ripeness of the grapes and the concentration of its wines. Château Lynch-Bages 2000 stands out for its structure, depth, and aromatic complexity, with notes of blackcurrant, graphite, cedar, tobacco, and spices. An iconic Pauillac, it is highly prized by collectors for its prestige, longevity, and potential for aging in the bottle.
