Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, 1994. A.O.C. Pauillac, Bordeaux, France. Red wine. Deuxième Grand Cru Classé, 1855 Bordeaux Classification. 6 bottles of 75 cl. With original wooden case. Opened for inspection. Condition: Fill levels IN (Into Neck). Original gold capsules intact, with scuffs, slight surface imperfections, and signs of storage. Original labels are intact and legible, though they show moisture stains. Original back labels are present and in generally good condition. Original wooden case with interior dividers. These bottles come from a private collection cellar, maintained under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is one of the most prestigious historic estates in Pauillac, located on the left bank of the Gironde estuary, adjacent to the vineyards of Château Latour. Classified as a Deuxième Grand Cru Classé in 1855, the château has developed its own distinct identity within the Médoc thanks to the elegance, complexity, and longevity of its wines. Its vineyards, planted on gravelly soils, consist primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, complemented by other traditional Bordeaux varieties. The 1994 vintage presents a classic profile, with firm structure and a slow evolution, featuring notes of ripe black fruits, cedar, tobacco, leather, and earthy nuances. The estate’s historic reputation, the wine’s aging potential, and its presentation in its original wooden case make this a particularly compelling collector’s item.
