Main labels complete, well-adhered, and legible, in excellent overall condition. Original back labels intact and legible. From a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Château Cos d’Estournel, classified as a Deuxième Grand Cru Classé in 1855, is one of the most prestigious estates in Saint-Estèphe and one of the leading names on Bordeaux’s Left Bank. Its vineyards, situated on deep gravel soils with clay subsoils, produce wines of extraordinary structure, complexity, and longevity. The 2005 vintage, considered exceptional in Bordeaux, stands out for its concentration, balance, and remarkable potential for aging. Made primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, it offers a complex profile of blackcurrant, blackberry, cedar, tobacco, spices, and delicate mineral notes, accompanied by firm, refined tannins and a long, persistent finish. Its international prestige and the exceptional quality of this vintage make this set of two bottles a particularly prized item among collectors.
