Château Mouton Rothschild, 2000. Red wine. Pauillac AOC, Bordeaux, France. Premier Cru Classé. 1 bottle, 75 cl. Robert Parker/The Wine Advocate: 97+/100, Lisa Perrotti-Brown, October 2019. Robert Parker gave it a 96+ in June 2010. Condition: IN (Into Neck) level, visible under the capsule. Front label is fully gold-embossed and legible, with slight localized wear. Back label is heavily scuffed, with widespread abrasions and some missing sections. Black capsule with ornamentation and an intact gold band. From a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Mouton Rothschild 2000 is a high-quality vintage, characterized by its concentration, power, and depth. Made from 86% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Merlot, the estate describes it as a full-bodied and opulent wine, with dense, enveloping tannins, aromas of ripe fruit, plums, notes of undergrowth, and roasted coffee. Its long finish and overall harmony evoke, according to the château, the richness of the prestigious 1986 vintage. It is a Mouton with the structure to age well in the bottle. www.chateau-mouton-rothschild.com
