Grand Vin de Château Latour, 2004. A.O.C. Pauillac, Bordeaux, France. Premier Grand Cru Classé in the official 1855 Bordeaux classification. Red wine. 1 bottle, 75 cl. Wine Enthusiast: 97/100. Neal Martin (The Wine Advocate): 96/100. Robert Parker (The Wine Advocate): 95/100. Condition: BN (Base Neck). Original maroon capsule, intact, with slight surface marks. Front and back labels complete and legible, with small spots and slight signs of aging. Good overall condition. From a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Château Latour is one of the most prestigious historic estates in Pauillac and one of Bordeaux’s five Premiers Grands Crus Classés. Its vineyard, located next to the Gironde estuary, is notable for its gravelly soils and the iconic L’Enclos plot, which yields a significant portion of its finest grapes. Cabernet Sauvignon predominates in its blends, accompanied primarily by Merlot and small proportions of other Bordeaux varieties. The 2004 vintage represents a classic Left Bank style, characterized by a balance of structure, freshness, and elegance. Château Latour 2004 is a particularly noteworthy wine for collectors due to its prestigious origin and its potential for aging in the bottle.
