The sculptor donated the sculpture in 1983 to the Domodossola branch of the Banca Popolare di Intra. The sculpture is a three-dimensional rendering of a geometric motif found in one of Melloni’s paintings. The three-dimensional adaptation and execution were overseen by architect Giovanni Battista Gagliardi, who also created the design sketch shown at the end of the images. The work is housed at the Intesa Sanpaolo SpA branch at Piazza Arturo Dell’Oro 1, in Domodossola.
