He returned to Padua in 1950; in 1951, he held his first solo exhibition at the “Coccodrillo” gallery in Piazza Cavour, showcasing 14 paintings selected by the Paduan painter Toni Menegazzo. In 1952, he held a solo exhibition at the “Salotto Sanmartino” in Piazza Garibaldi, and in 1954, in the Egyptian Room of Caffè Pedrocchi. A trip to France in 1958 (Paris, Normandy, and Brittany) brought to the fore Galuppo’s realistic-expressionist style, already evident in his works from 1952 to 1954, which depicted the demolition of entire neighborhoods in Padua, particularly the “Conciapelli” district. The painting in this catalog shares a similar subject matter, though it is set in Montello. Galuppo participated in the 9th Rome Quadriennale (1965–66). One of his works is part of the collection of the Civic Museums at the Eremitani in Padua.
