Attributed to Dominique ALONZO (active c. 1910–1930) Bust of a Young Girl with a Shawl A bronze cast with a nuanced dark brown patina depicting a young girl with her hair pulled back into a bun and her shoulders draped in a loose shawl. The bust is accented by a diagonal band of gilded metal. It bears a partially legible incised signature on the side, “Alonz…,” which is consistent with Dominique Alonzo’s signature. It rests on a scalloped and molded base made of stained wood. First quarter of the 20th century. Dimensions: H. 35 cm Normal wear and scuffing on the patina; small scratches and cracks on the base.
