Félix Maurice CHARPENTIER (1858–1924) Joan of Arc with a Sword, ca. 1905 A large bronze cast with polychrome patinas in gold, silver, and medal brown, depicting Joan of Arc full-length, clad in armor and holding her sword. Signed “F. Charpentier” on the base. Circular stamp of the publisher-founder on the plinth. H. 74 cm Wear and patina deterioration, particularly on the plinth; minor signs of use. Bibliography / Related Works: A version of the “Joan of Arc with Sword” model, cast in marble and silver in 1905, H. 75 cm, is held in the Bacchi Collection.
