SMALL LOUIS XVI-ERA CONSOLE TABLE Made of mahogany and mahogany veneer, rectangular in shape, featuring a wide drawer framed by brass moldings. It rests on four tapered column-like legs joined by a rectangular mahogany crossbar, accented with a brass fillet. The tapered legs are adorned with rings and finished with gilded bronze feet. The drawer is fitted with two angled pull handles and a gilded bronze lock plate. The top is made of veined white marble, surrounded by an openwork gilded brass rail. Louis XVI period, last quarter of the 18th century, circa 1780–1790. H. 87.5; W. 64; D. 32.5 cm Restorations and signs of normal wear.
