Stunning SAVONNERIE-style knotted rug East Asia. Third third of the 20th century. Wool pile on a cotton backing. An ivory-colored central medallion, featuring a floral motif with molded edges and surrounded by multicolored stems and bouquets, takes pride of place in the center of an elongated, highlighted cream-colored field. A double frame in shades of purple and ivory, with honeycomb patterns at the cardinal points, adorned with garlands, floral arrangements, and polychrome vases, encircles the entire design.
