Original Savonnerie-style tapestry (C.N.A., Compagnie Nationale des Artistes français aux Indes) Circa 1960. Wool velour on a cotton backing. A central polychrome rosette-shaped medallion, surrounded by small flowering stems and adorned with “scallop shells,” is set against an ivory field, poly-lobed and cruciform, with a pearl-gray border edged in bottle green.
