SHOBI ZIGLER Rug Pakistan. Late 20th century. Wool velour on a cotton backing. An ivory field features a refined floral design consisting of an interlacing pattern of foliage supporting large corollas, star-shaped flowers, and curved botehs. This design is reminiscent of the Mahal-Ziegler rugs, renowned for over a century. A wide main border features a delicate floral garland, flanked by four ruby- and old-gold-colored counter-borders with garlands of small flowers.
