KACHAN Rug Iran. Late 20th century Wool pile on a cotton backing. A beautiful floral rosette in apricot, ruby, and bluish tones, along with its counterparts, emerges from a sky-blue hexagonal field featuring rich floral scrollwork in multicolored swirls. Four large apricot-colored spandrels with plant scrolls and arabesques frame the design. A wide sky-blue border featuring blooming polychrome corollas set against an interlacing pattern of plant stems, flanked by six navy and cream counter-borders with a series of small flowers.
