ISPAHAN Rug Iran. Shah era, circa 1965. Technical specifications: wool pile on a cotton backing. An ivory field features an interlacing pattern of multicolored floral scrolls, forming a mosaic-like design, interspersed with delicate medallions featuring blued, arrow-shaped cruciform compartments. The frame consists of a ruby-red main border, flanked by four navy and ivory counter-borders, all five featuring garlands of polychrome flowers. Beautiful design.
