Rare and antique ISPAHAN carpet Persia. 18th century. Wool pile on a cotton backing. An old gold field serves as the backdrop for a Garden of Eden. Magnificent lotus flowers frame a delicate, varied, and polychrome floral interlacing in which two vases filled with flowers take center stage. Deer, felines, and reptiles enliven this paradisiacal scene. Two cherry-red outer borders with small florets frame the main sky-blue border, which features a series of exuberant multicolored flowers.
