Small Chinese export blue and white porcelain milk jug, Kangxi. Of pear shape and decorated with a court lady standing in a fenced garden. The silver probably late 17th century addition. Illustrated in Howard, "Choice of the Private Trader," pg. 165, no. 183. Provenance: Christie's, London, "Fine Chinese Export Porcelain," 10 November 1983, Lot 163; The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff.
