Selim Turan, Turkish (1915-1994) Untitled, Abstract Oil on paper, Signed 'Selim' lower right, 66 x 52cm. Selim Turan studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Istanbul. He went to Paris in 1947 with a scholarship from the French Government and studied abstract art. Along with Abidin Dino, he was amongst the founders of the Yeniler Group, observing the “Social Realist” approach.
