A Small Qur'an, unsigned and undated Qajar Iran, circa 1850, Arabic manuscript on paper, 250ff., 2ff., 17ll. of black naskh to the page, interlinear gold cloud bands, headers in red script against gold within cusped cartouches flanked by gold trefoils picked in red against blue ground, quartered gold roundel markers picked in red, cobalt blue and turquoise blue, thing red and gold borders ruled in blue, green and black, plain borders ruled in black, marginal gold and polychrome medallions and cartouches section markers, the lacquered papier-mâché covers with elegant floral sprays within floral borders, their inside with elegant interlocked looping gold floral tendrils, 15.7 x 9.7cm., folio 15 x 9.2cm.
