A compilation of prayers, copied by Yusuf Tefi (?)..., Ottoman Turkey or Provinces, dated AH1190/1776AD, Arabic manuscript on paper, 106ff., 1fl., with full-page paintings of Mecca and Medina, one section on purple-dyed paper,11ll. of black naskh script to the page within thin gold margins ruled in black and wider plain borders with thin silver margins ruled in black, occasional heading in green ink within plain panel, the illuminated opening bifolio with a plain rectangular panel under intricate floral tendril interlocking to form a floral trefoil reserved in blue against a gold field and under a gold cusped arch picked in blue, stylised sprays above, the opening bismillah below ornate with a single flower, the tooled binding with a central cusped cartouche containing leaved entrelacs, a palmette above and below, the corner spandrels and flap similarly decorated, 18.3 x 12cm., folio 18.1 x 11cm.
