From Wiedenhöfer’s series “The US Border Wall—The Power and Impotence of a World Power.” - For decades, photographer Kai Wiedenhöfer (1966–2024) photographed all major separation walls, including the Berlin Wall, the Israeli wall in the West Bank, the buffer zone between the Greek and Turkish parts of Cyprus, the border wall between Mexico and the United States, and the walls in Baghdad and Belfast. - In 2014, Wiedenhöfer organized “Wall on Wall,” an outdoor exhibition of large-scale images of the Israeli separation wall displayed on the remains of the Berlin Wall at the East Side Gallery. On the occasion of this exhibition, the artist personally presented this photograph to the seller. - Corners slightly creased, a minor scratch mark on the lower edge, and faint surface scratches throughout.
