Animation Art - Walt Disney Studios. Donald Duck from "Dognapper." Pencil drawing on chamois-colored Management Bond paper (watermark), punched at the bottom edge. 1934. Image dimensions: 9.5 x 7 cm. Sheet dimensions: 24 x 30 cm. Mat cutout: 21 x 26.5 cm. "The Dognapper" was the first film starring Donald Duck (alongside Mickey Mouse) and was released in the same year as "Wise Little Hen," in which Donald made his film debut. At that time, he still had the long bill characteristic of the early "long-billed Donalds." - The sheet is mounted under the mat in spots along the edges; it is generally browned with a light halo around the edges and shows minimal handling marks.
