Manet, Édouard. *Le fiacre vu de dos*. Lithograph on paper. Printed with a monogram and stamps from the Bibliothèque nationale de France. Dimensions (framed under glass): 11.5 x 8 cm. The printed stamp “BN. EST” at the bottom center of the sheet, from the Bibliothèque nationale de France and the Département des Estampes et de la Photographie, originates from Manet’s original work held in the library, which was created in 1877 as a sketch in blue ink and pencil. The original was reproduced as a print. - On the reverse of the frame cover is adhesive residue from “Albrecht-Dürer-Haus Berlin W. Kronenstr 18,” an arts and crafts store where the lithograph was purchased. - The edges where the paper was glued show notches; the sheet is slightly browned (written on without being opened).
