Vintage Cane & Gilt Metal Decorative Case Crespi/Dior 70s Based on design of Gabriella Crespi for Dior, very nice vintage cane and brass bucket. Sophisticated vintage decorative case, featuring exquisite honey-coloured woven cane beautifully framed with gilt metal. Its elegant cylindrical silhouette rests on delicate ornamental feet, while a cleverly concealed hinged opening reveals a removable inner container, equally refined with its matching openwork cane design. Very good vintage condition (see pictures – light signs of wear throughout). Dimensions approx: Diameter: 12 cm. (4.71 in.), Height: 12.5 cm. (4.91 in.) A little history – Gabriella Crespi (1922–2017) Gabriella Crespi was an iconic Italian designer, celebrated for her luxurious and innovative decorative creations of the 1960s and 1970s. Renowned for her sophisticated combinations of brass, natural materials and sculptural forms, she also collaborated with prestigious fashion houses, including Christian Dior. Her creations perfectly embody the glamour, elegance and creativity of Italian design during the golden age of the 1970s.
