Brüning, Max. Collection of six etchings. Each signed in pencil. Circa 1925. Plate dimensions: ranging from 29 x 15 cm to 42 x 27 cm. A beautiful collection featuring somewhat risqué motifs by Max Brüning (1887–1968), whose studio—after he moved to Berlin in 1923—quickly became a widely known gathering place for prominent figures from the worlds of film, art, sports, and politics. Brüning, who worked for magazines, designed posters, and also created etchings and pastels, became best known for his erotically suggestive portraits of women and girls. - Slightly tanned; some show traces of a previous mounting on the reverse, others have small surface discolorations; two sheets are mounted under mat boards.
