Diameter: 8 cm each. In original folding case with tie and printed labels (dusty, somewhat stained, and worn). Published in several series of 6 motifs each, intended for viewing through a metal eyepiece shaped like a bat. The case bears a content label reading “1ère Série”; the following are included: 1. Chambre des Députès – 2. Rue de Rivoli – 4. Chemin de Fer – 5. Clo?tre (Vieux Paris); missing are 3. Place de la Concorde and 6. Eglise. The series is supplemented by a river landscape as well as a unrelated watercolor depiction of a sleigh ride without a slide. The folder bears a London company label and a publisher’s announcement. — Some images have come loose from their slides; the slides are rusty and have left marks on the edges facing the images.
