HKJL 1800–1850, No. 264 Note (based on the incomplete copy in the Hobrecker Collection, Braunschweig University Library). — First edition; as a sequel, Müller published a selection of Gellert’s fables in the same format in 1819. The game is based on a colored landscape etching on cardboard (the reverse side is also blue marbled), into whose slits the cardboard figurines were inserted according to the instructions on the overview panel. This panel depicts 15 scenes corresponding to the selection in the text booklet. - The booklet is slightly foxed; the insert board is slightly bumped and dusty; the figurines are in good condition. A lovely set in a uniform, contemporary presentation.
