Prints - Müller, Heinrich Friedrich. Print depicting a cup and saucer that, when a lever is pulled, are filled by a table setting and a putto holding a coffee grinder. Colored copperplate engraving. Vienna, H. F. Müller (publisher’s number 385), ca. 1830. 7.8 x 10 cm. - On the reverse, a red seal impression bearing the coat of arms of England, beneath which is a handwritten dedication: “From your very affectionate Sister Victoria 1831,” presumably the future Queen Victoria to her half-sister Feodora zu Leiningen. The motto of this charming illustration reads “Always cheerful, always bright streams—,” followed by “Joy from the spring.” The handwriting and signature of the dedication suggest this is an early autograph by Victoria, predating her coronation in 1837. Feodora von Leiningen (1807–72) was a long-time and close confidante of Victoria’s. - Minor fingerprints; in very good condition.
