Edgar Degas Edgar DEGAS (after) In the Intimacy of the Bedroom Original print (etching and aquatint) after a monotype On Rives vellum, 25 x 32 cm INFORMATION: Around 1880, Degas undertook a series of monotypes inspired by Parisian brothels. He entrusted them to Maurice Potin, who transferred them to copper plates and produced the prints. Vollard finally published them around 1935 in two portfolios, each printed in a run of approximately 350 copies. The engraving offered here comes from the archives of the engraver Maurice Potin.
