Christopher Compton Hall, British 1930-2016- Llangurig; oil on board, signed and dated 'C.C. Hall ⁓ 1980', 22.8 x 39.4 cm. ARR. Provenance: Private Collection, UK. Note: Christopher Hall studied at the Slade School of Art and his first solo exhibition was in 1958 at the Arthur Jeffress Gallery, after which he had twelve further solo exhibitions in London. He showed pictures with The London Group, at the New Arts Centre, Piccadilly, Grosvenor and Leicester Galleries, and at the Royal Academy; the London Museum, the National Library of Wales, and a number of Education Authorities acquired his works, which were also seen in a Welsh Arts Council travelling exhibition.
