Fritz von Wille, German 1860-1941- A pair of mountainous landscapes, one with a figure hanging washing, the other climbing a hill; oils on canvas, each signed 'F. V. Wille' (lower right), the first 52 x 30 cm., the second 50.5 x 30.3 cm., a pair (2). Provenance: Private Collection, UK. Note: Wille specialised in landscapes, often depicting Reifferscheid, one of the highest settlements in the Hocheifel region. The brightly coloured trees and sky in the present pair are characteristic of the artist's work and can also be seen in comparable paintings, including one sold at Van Ham Kunstauktionen, Cologne, on 21 November 2025, lot 1231 (€5,940).
