He travelled and worked, meeting and befriending fellow artists, such as Sir John Lavery (1856-1941), across Europe, Northern Africa, and America: in France, Spain, Morocco, and the United States, where he exhibited, along with other Cornish painters, at the Carnegie Institute in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, in 1905. His works are held at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery, at Penlee House Gallery & Museum, at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, at the Victoria and Albert Museum, and other institutions.
