Henri Buron, French 1880-1969- Boats on the shore; oil on canvas, signed 'Henri Buron' (lower left), 46.2 x 55.5 cm. ARR. Provenance: Private Collection. Note: Buron studied in Rouen and Paris. A member of the Society of French Artists, he exhibited regularly from 1924, winning a gold medal in 1935 and receiving further honours, including an award at the 1937 Exposition Universelle. He later became a professor at the École Régionale des Beaux-Arts in Rouen.
