Pablo Aizoiala is a Basque painter, sculptor, and printmaker active in the Spanish contemporary art scene, whose career has spanned figuration and abstraction, with a particular focus on the human figure, the nude, interiors, and still lifes. His painting is characterized by a figurative style with a strong expressive component, in which drawing, painterly texture, and color take on significant artistic value. Aizoiala has maintained an extensive exhibition record since the final decades of the 20th century, with shows in Spain and abroad—including, for example, solo exhibitions in London and Barcelona during the 1990s—and a presence at art fairs such as Art Madrid. His work is represented in various public and institutional collections; among them is the Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid, whose collection includes *Pool Table* (1999), a large-format oil on canvas.
