INMA ESCRICH (La Vall d’Uxó, Castellón, 1965). “Light.” Oil on canvas. Signed in the lower right corner. Certificate of authenticity included. Measurements: 65 x 46 cm. In “Light,” Inma Escrich creates a deeply intimate composition in which the realistic rendering of the figure is combined with an intense interplay of light and shadow. Against the dark background, the modeling of the fingers, the translucency of the melted wax, and the warm reflections of the flame stand out, rendered with particular attention to detail. The contrast between light and darkness, evocative of tenebrism, lends the image a symbolic dimension linked to fragility, protection, and hope. Inma Escrich began her artistic training under the painter Vicente Castelló and later studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Castellón, furthering her education with Pere Ribera. For several years, she worked in the field of ceramic design, exhibiting her creations at international trade shows such as Cevisama in Valencia and Cersaie in Bologna. She later devoted herself exclusively to painting, developing a personal figurative style characterized by an expressive use of color and meticulous attention to detail.
