ALBERT SESMA (Paris, France, 1976). “Geometric Surrealism.” Oil on canvas. Signed in the lower left corner. Measurements: 50 x 70 cm; 54 x 74 cm (frame). The work combines Albert Sesma’s interest in interiors and spatial representation with a geometric element stemming from his early explorations of Cubism. Against a backdrop of an interior filled with chairs and architectural structures, the artist superimposes broken lines and planes that fragment the perspective. The result deliberately oscillates between figuration and abstraction, contrasting the atmospheric brushwork of the space with the graphic boldness of the geometric forms. Albert Sesma earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of the Basque Country and subsequently developed his career in Navarre. His artistic evolution began with an early interest in Cubism before shifting toward figurative painting of interiors and urban spaces, following several years of apprenticeship and collaboration with Antonio López. Albert Sesma has held solo exhibitions at venues such as the Cervantes Institute in Casablanca and the Cervantes Institute in Hamburg, in addition to participating in the exhibition *El realismo eres tú* at the Museum of the Royal Walls in Ceuta.
