Gardens G1:2 “Bereshit” is part of Eva Felice’s symbolic and spiritual body of work, taking Genesis 1:2 and the notion of Bereshit—“in the beginning”—as its starting point to explore the idea of creation and transformation. The composition is built through an intense concentration of burgundy, magenta, and pink tones, surrounded by circular forms and golden hues that suggest a garden in the process of formation. The layering of paint, transparencies, drips, and circular gestures creates a dynamic surface where abstraction and organic evocations coexist. The contrast between dense areas and brighter spaces reinforces the tension between chaos and order, darkness and light—two central dualities in the work’s conceptual framework. Eva Felice is an Argentine-Spanish visual artist based in Barcelona, whose practice encompasses painting, collage, mixed media, and sculpture, with a particular interest in nature, spirituality, and memory. She has organized international exhibitions and projects and has presented her work at venues such as the Haegeumgang Theme Museum in South Korea and Art Shopping at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris. She is also the director of the Puro Arte Association, which is dedicated to promoting visual artists.
