Hermann Göring Telegram to Anthony Fokker, Seeking Relief of Financial Distress Telegram in German, signed within the printed text, "Goering," one page, 10.75 x 8, July 27, 1919. Göring writes to aviation pioneer Anthony Fokker from Copenhagen, in full (translated): "Your telegram received. Await telegraphic money transfer for this once, since am in very difficult situation." In very good to fine condition, with a tear through the "Rijkstelegraaf" letterhead. This telegram follows directly from Göring’s lengthy July 12 letter to Anthony Fokker, in which he described his promotional flying in Denmark, outlined his financial difficulties, and pressed for money and commissions he believed were owed to him. Two weeks later, still awaiting payment, Göring’s terse message reveals the urgency of his situation and provides a striking coda to the earlier correspondence—a once-celebrated fighter ace, then working as Fokker’s representative in Copenhagen, reduced to urgently requesting relief of his immediate financial distress.
