René Frechoux Workshop An 18K yellow gold brooch (750 parts per thousand) featuring a panther motif evoking the Golden Fleece, its fur accented with black enamel, its paws resting on a chiseled branch, and its eyes set with green stones in a closed-setting. Double pin with a safety clasp (the panther and the branch each bear a section of the maker’s mark; the two elements were originally joined by soldering) French master’s mark R—nautical anchor—F for René Frechoux, active from March 1, 1947, at 37 rue de Radziwill in Paris (still active in 1981, as listed in the 1981 edition of *L’Azur*) Dimensions: 42 x 52 mm - Gross weight: 27.65 g
