Buddha Head, China, possibly 18th century Carved stone. Dimensions: 79 × 40 × 43 cm. The sculpture depicts a generously proportioned Buddha head with soft, harmonious features, closed eyes, a straight nose, and lips forming a subtle smile. The hair is depicted in neatly arranged spiral curls, crowning a figure of great spiritual strength. The serene expression evokes the fundamental principles of Buddhism: introspection, enlightenment, and compassion. The piece rests on a square base that enhances its understated elegance. Its style, with simplified lines and robust volume, suggests a modern creation inspired by traditional Southeast Asian models. A work of strong decorative and spiritual character, perfect for contemplative and reflective settings.
