Rogelio Puente (Havana, Cuba, 1936 – A Coruña, 1996) – Portrait of a Girl Indoors Canvas dimensions: 18 × 14 cm. Framed dimensions: 28 × 24 cm. Oil on canvas. Signed in the lower right corner. A delicate portrait of a young girl standing in a domestic setting, dressed in a flowing dress in shades of blue-gray and surrounded by a warm atmosphere that includes a glass cabinet and decorative items. The composition reflects the characteristic pictorial style of Rogelio Puente, one of Cuba’s most renowned painters known for his intimate and evocative depictions of childhood. Through soft brushstrokes, a restrained color palette, and a keen focus on facial expression, the artist conveys the innocence and sensitivity of childhood—traits that define much of his work.
